PEF Board designates Cauchie Garcia as Deputy Executive Director

The Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF) Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Cauchie C. Garcia as the Deputy Executive Director beginning April 2023.

Ms. Garcia first served as the Foundation’s finance officer from 2007 to 2010. She eventually headed the Management Services Group in 2011, where she handled the Foundation’s finance, human resources, and administrative services.

As MSG manager, she took part in the design and implementation of the HR programs of PEF covering two 5-year strategic plans, which include organizational structuring and competency-building of staff.

Under the guidance of the Board and the Finance and Investments Committee, Ms. Garcia steered the growth of PEF’s endowment fund which currently stands at Php 2.11 billion.

Before joining PEF, she was the executive director of Cebu Micro-Enterprise Development Foundation from 2003 to 2007.  During this time, the Foundation grew from three branches with 14 staff to 14 branches with 104 staff while disbursing an annual average of Php150 million in micro-enterprise loans.

As deputy executive director, Ms. Garcia will provide leadership to the Operations Group in implementing PEF’s core programs in enterprise development, institution building, and collaborative partnerships.
