Solar Show 2017: Showcasing Potential of Philippine Solar Energy

Every year the sun beams to the earth energy to sustain global needs for the entire year. This same clean and green energy now has given Peace and Equity Foundation (PEF) new opportunities to reach and create household impact in poor communities across the country by scaling up three existing solar energy social enterprises.

To help its partners showcase their products and to give them the opportunity to be exposed and network with other solar industry players, PEF, in partnership with Impact Hub Manila, joined the recent Solar Show Philippines, the largest energy trade show in the country that serves as a venue for the private and public sectors to discuss the state and direction of the energy and power sector of the country.

PEF’s exhibit booth during the 2-day Solar Show at SMX Convention Center, Pasay City featured Hybrid Social Solutions, Inc., One Renewable Energy Enterprise, Inc., Ramon Magsaysay Award Foundation’s Solar Energy-Driven Social Enterprises (SE2) program, and Solar Solutions, Inc.

“We are very grateful to PEF for the opportunity to join Solar Show 2017 exhibition. We were able to share our experiences on solar water pumps and agricultural based projects for renewable energy to a bigger network”, says Sarina Narida, Marketing Specialist of One Renewable Energy Inc.

PEF supports partnerships and programs that will build, promote and scale up social enterprises, and the recently concluded Solar Show simply fulfills PEF’s role in providing its partners more opportunities for growth and development.
