Select PEF staff attended a training workshop, conducted by Mahintana Foundation Inc., on Open Date Kit (ODK) and Qlik based Project Monitoring in July to improve capacities of Shariah financing partners in project monitoring. The three-day training workshop exposed staff to the importance of ODK and Qlik applications, its basic processes, which can be applied in PEF’s project monitoring, mapping and business analytics.
This training has stemmed from the request of the assisted organizations of PEF when the project team of Mahintana Foundation Inc. did a presentation using ODK and Qlik Applications in a PEF workshop with partners implementing the Shariah Financing last May in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato.
Among the free and open source applications available in the web, ODK for mobile-based data collection, survey/mapping and project monitoring and Qlik Sens for business analytics stood out. Both ODS and Qlik are user-friendly with interactive data visualization and can be used offline.
The workshop is part of the broader effort of the Foundation to support the initiative of building competitive culturally compliant enterprises.
